Сold briquetting

The essence of the method of cold briquetting process consists in the pressing of small sized materials either with or without binders. Generally binders are divided by their nature into organic and mineral materials. The structure of the briquette is created by the impact of pressure forces with forming direct contacts between grains of raw material or by establishing intermediary contacts between them, using the layer of binder. This method enables to briquette different materials in a sufficiently wide range of compositions, structures, particle sizes and humidity. The process allows producing a durable product with a predetermined characteristic of lumps: shape, size, density and mass. Also it should be especially pointed that such briquettes provides one of the main advantages of non-sintering materials formation - saving the same composition and properties of the raw material.

In the Laboratory of Technologies and Equipment for Raw Material Preparation we've developed an original approach to creation technologies and press equipment for briquetting. This approach is based on our own set of scientific methods and includes the following steps:



One of the most important stages of creating briquetting technology is the development of technological regulations. The technical design of production line and its individual components is created subsequently on the basis of this technological regulations.

Technological regulations consists of:
1. Quality requirements for the finished product, its main properties and characteristics;
2. Characterization of raw materials and the requirements for them;
3. Characteristics of the charge;
4. Description of all stages of the production technology of briquettes;
5. Capacity of a production line;
6. Machine flow sheet;
7. Requirements for the control and regulation of the main technological parameters;
8. The basic requirements for safety and occupational health.
